SINGAPORE'S EDUCATION ranks among the top as the best education in the World. She has done well in educating the young, specifically in Math and Science. Having participated in international competitions, Singapore Primary 4 and Secondary 2 students emerged champions for Mathematics and Science competitions. In 2011, National University of Singapore was ranked 34th university in the Times-Higher-Education-World-Ranking, also the best university in Southeast Asia. The world-class education may portray Singapore to be managing well in education but in reality, is Singapore's education really as good as it seems? Does it not have flaws? She may have done well increasing the knowledge of the young generation but what about the creativity, the morals and other aspects? I personally feel that Singapore deserves being called "world-class education hub" for it has fulfilled most of the criteria of being one.

Critics argue that Singapore's education stifles creativity. This is especially seen from the monotonous regimes and structure of primary, secondary and for some tertiary education. Singaporeans are clothed in their pre-designed standard uniform and have to attend school from early morning to late afternoon and during lesson time, they input the knowledge that the teachers are teaching and "vomit" this knowledge out during their examinations. Many do not understand the main purpose behind learning it and are just memorizing for the sake of memorizing. Unlike liberal arts education that encourage creativity and presentation, Singapore's education involves mainly sitting down and listening to teachers. In terms of interaction and presentation, it is a far cry from liberal arts education. Wearing of fashion clothing is banned for primary, secondary and Junior Colleges. Instead of raising a population of creative individuals, Singapore's education system seems have raised mechanical robots instead. This is however not true because Singapore have programmes in place to stimulate creative thinking and interactions. A few examples are Co-Curricular Activities, Aesthetic Programmes, Be-Yourself Day, Project Work. During such activities, they get to exercise their creativity and leadership when working with others. So while Singapore nurtures intellectual individuals, she ensures that they have the element of creativity as well.

Singapore has a good education system as meritocracy is key. The education system rewards Singaporean who puts in hard work. This makes it fair by putting all Singaporeans on a levelled competitive field. It pushes other people to fight for their own desired outcome. It is much better than favouring the rich since everyone now has equal opportunities to succeed in life. Singapore companies look at applicants education certificates before choosing or not to employ them. So if one wants to succeed, it is up to him the amount of effort that he put in.

Also, Singapore provides a failure-proof education structure where one cannot fail through his years of education. This ensures economic equality among citizens and gives second-chance to those who initially fail to succeed. This failure-proof structure is brought about by the idea of retaining. If a student fails to meet requirement for promotion, he does not immediately get kicked out of the school or get sent for national examinations unprepared with weak foundations. Instead, he goes through one or a few more years of the same level education until he is strong in it and competitive enough to attend the national examinations. So if one fails to get into a Junior College or Polytechnic due to not being able to meet the minimum points requirements, he might still be sent to an ITE. Either three college ensure that one gets a certificate out of it and with this certificate, he is able to apply for jobs. Those who are more capable may advance to taking up degree courses in university. Even if one fails to get into JC, Poly and ITE, he may either choose to retain and brush up on his studies or take another attempt at the national examination by being a private candidate.

Singapore is indeed a "world-class education hub" that produces students with exceptional results topping the world. Through the structure of education ensuring avenues of interactions, it ensures that creativity is not stifled at the expense of intellectual learning. Singapore provides a meritocratic system that gives all equal success opportunities and ensures that there are fall-backs along the path of a student's education.

CONFORMITY is rather controversial and each person have their own perspective to whether or not one should conform. Conforming, or following rules or trends, may seem to be the easiest thing to do. Rules had been set and all you have to do is follow them. It is not only safe, but also comfortable. Majority of the world today conforms. But will stepping out of your comfort zone to experience the different be of better good to you? A risk is always involved when you attempt not to conform. A risk of being caught with punishable consequences, or a risk of being out-casted in the social realm. So what are then the benefits of not conforming?

In nature, people want to do things differently. When a teenager's mother ask him or her to keep quiet, he would usually feel angered and want to talk more, even more than he was intending to. Yet when he is told to talk more by his mother, he will not want to spend the extra effort exercising his jaw muscles. Its just by nature that no one love to be told by someone else to do something. Thus the law-offenders in the society. Not to conform satisfies the natural urge and desire to bend around the rules.

Eccentrics are light-hearted and oblivious individuals who do not conform to society's board of rules. Research have proven that eccentrics are healthier, happier and more creative than conformists. Non-conformists indeed posses a higher level of creativeness. Perhaps, the latter is the reason for why they do not follow the rules or standards. Bertrand Russel, a late British philosopher and the all-famous physicist Albert Einstein were non-conformists and yet achieved high level of creativity. In a society that forces their people to strictly conform to every rules, they are limiting the creativeness of the people. The robots follow the rules fed to them. They are not able to exercise their innovation and come up with multiple alternatives. Soon the creativeness will wither in them and the result will be a society of uncreative individuals.

Although conforming may be comfortable, at times not conforming may bring about even greater comfort. When everyone in class are talking to someone else and you are feeling dead tired from a basketball match, wouldn't it be more comfortable if you can ignore everyone else expectations and sit at a corner and enjoy some soothing music? Or will you feel obliged to join your other friends in the conversation, knowing that not doing so may label you as being unpopular and quiet? No one around you can tell you what you can or cannot do, but yet why do you feel the urge to conform?

On the other hand, conforming is almost guaranteed safe. There is a reason why countries set laws. Citizens choosing conforming to the laws may result in a disastrous and chaotic country. Rules are made to be followed and behind every rule is a reason. Often, rules are meant to protect the general population. It had been considered carefully and given the approval as the best possible option for that situation. Additionally, following laws will not risk you for being fined or jailed.

Conforming also prevents you from being marginalised. If the trend of today is of low socks, will you want to go to school with knee-high socks given a choice for the length? Unless your purpose is to be unique from others like popular star Lady Gaga, it may only destroy the impression others have on you. No doubt it is your choice, conforming may lead to being excluded from society.

All in all, to conform or not to conform is one's choice but he or she has to be fully aware of the consequences waiting for him. It is perhaps the type of situation that determines if a person should or should not conform. Peer pressure is prevalent and rampant among teenagers today. Conforming to unhealthy things should be discouraged. When wanting to break loose and not conform, look at the situation for there is a time to do so and there is a time that being obedient children may be a safer option.

HELLO EARTHLINGS!

It has been a long while since I last posted on this graveyard.
A reminisce bringing back bits and pieces or memories.
It all started when I was secondary One, when blogging was a trend.
Now there is Facebook, Twitter and all the other exciting websites that get teenagers uninterested in their past-time favorite hobby of studying.

In this blog website, I will be posting updates of my "all-so-interesting" life, journal entries which quite means the same, stories, religious views and so on. Well, I was inspired to dedicate a portion of my time to writing. Not sure if this inspiration will die out, but let's see.

Well life had changed. So I was from Zhonghua Secondary School and scored 12 minus 2 points for Olevels and subsquently got into Catholic Junior College. Not my first choice but not bad a college after all. Well for one reason, it got me closer to God. You see I have been attending Christian Churches ever since I found my meaning in life.

What is the purpose of life? Is a frequent question I ask myself. Strange as it is, I think about such out-of-the-norm questions at times. Things about after-life and other items. It was until I searched those words on youtube and found my meaning. Whats yours? Maybe I'll share mine in another post.

So I am taking Bio Chem Math and Econs in my Junior College. And appointed today as President of Strategy Games Club. So that is my update of my life for now!

A long way to becoming President of 7th Student Council.

2007.
Although this year may not be of great significance for me to Student Council, it was one where I was introduced to the various roles of being a student councillor. When I first stepped into Zhonghua, I had the mentality that i wanted to be a councillor for I was a prefect in my primary school days and wanted to have an upper edge over the others.

I admired greatly the councillors of Zhonghua at that time. Those were of course the early months of my first year in school. I remembered Leona, who was 1E5 class attachment councillor, Regina who was the PA member, Alan the famous councillor and so on.. I wanted rather greatly to be a councillor.

Then came the Sec 1 Orientation camp, when at that time. the camp was organised by the Student Council. My impression of student council deepened. Then was Lynn who was the President of the 4th Student Council, whom I also held great admiration for.

When the council interview came, I had perhaps overly prepared myself such that the interview was full of "textbook answers" and much stuttering and forgetting. My interviewer was Ms Lea that year. It had turned out that I did not make it into being a councillor that year. I had then given up my dreams of being a Student Councillor.

Later that year was Music and Movement which I had been selected as Emcee, together with Nisa. Wearing the blazer and tie was a pride for me. Ironically, JiaYi commented, "You had better wear your blazer properly hor. I don't even think I have the chance to wear it in future!"

2008.
Life passed with the usual stuffs. I signed up to be in the debate team in a bid to improve my English argumentative skills. But that's beside the point. The annual student councillor elections came again. I crossed votes with Kai Seng and Ryan from the debate team, which means to say we voted for each other. As for the teachers side, I'm not too sure. The list was up, and I was in. Elated, but not as anticipating as before since my previous failure had demoralised me.

I almost did not manage for the interview due to a school field trip. However, I approached the Vice-President of 5th SC, YiMei who told me that she will request a make up interview from Ms Ong. I remembered clearly that it was a usual afternoon when I was eating opposite with Kenan and some other 2e5 guys. Next thing I know, I was abruptly disturbed from my lunch and both of us with JinX ran across the zebra crossing to school to have our make up interview. Ms Ong was waiting there and normal procedures. We fill up the form, answered a few questions and left. This time, the interview was more natural and informal.

Hallelujah, I made it into the Student Council, together with the other Sec 2s who went for interview. First was council camp. For duties, I was attached to Regina who taught me some PA stuffs. Brandon was in PA too. So most mornings were spent in the general office or else the podium. Being in PA was something I held honour about. Recess duties, there were ppl like Bryan and Gretel in which we all went up and close the doors and chase ppl out of class rooms.

Oh and at that time, I loved council so much that I could cry for it, at times when I remembered what we all did. I look forward to any council activities and stuff. Every time the EXCOs call names for duties, I was wishing my name would be called out. Most of the times, yes it was called out. Most duties were foyer ushering. One of the particular one I would never forget is Mid Autumn Festival. Maybe its due to the evening and night environment. I remembered Brandon was claiming to block Melody from the sun (due to their contrast in height) and we were having much fun.

Council was my life. So was the tie.

That year I had spent much time studying in the library and mugging for the streaming exercise. Surprisingly, I did not treat council as a waste of my time. There was NACLI camp which I was honoured to be selected. It was very memorable, especially the nights when we would play strip poker secretly and one in particular, had to strip to his undergarments. It was hilarious and interesting. Even watching the pictures that Yi Heng kindly sent us months after the camp, made me tear of the memories. I may seem serious, but yes I do have feelings. Again, I held great admiration for the President then, Keziath who was ill for months.

At the end of the year, there was the organisation of the 2008 November Council Camp. Surprisingly, I was selected to be the AIC of the camp, together with Beatrice. Shaun, the president and IC of camp, met up with us during the holidays and we discussed through the planning of camp. It was memorable as well. Both me and Beatrice organsied some minor activities and came up with proposals and schedules. On the camp night, both of us and YiHeng had even went out of school to buy the graduating gift materials. We had to climb over the school gate.

2009.
A new class, a new beginning. Being in 3E2 had also been my dream, which was one of the motivations to work hard in sec 2. Guess it paid off. That year, being seniors of the school, tgt with the Sec 4s, I was more aware of the surroundings and stuff. I also became more bold. I also stuck much around with Beatrice due to council stuffs, which got me introduced to councillors like Xin Hui, Eugenia, Jia Yi.

In early months of 2009, me, Beatrice and XinHui went to Hwa Chong Council Investiture. The facility was nice and thus another memorable investiture. I, together with the sec3s, were put in charge of more events and was involved with higher status like ICs. I continued my morning duty at PA and other than the ins and outs of PA members, nothing much changed.

Then was the EXCO interview. To be honest, I had never dreamt of being an EXCO considering that I had joined in Sec 2. Still, the interview went on and I convinced the teacher advisors and HODs on my interest and passion in Student Council. One fine morning, I was innocently taking my newspaper and abruptly got called up. A few of us Sec 3s stood there, and Ms Ong announced that we had passed the EXCO interview. I was rather elated, but had mixed feelings as well. She pointed at 5 of us, and said we were to go to the President and VPs interview. I was speechless.

In any case, I did not have the great urge to be the President for having a position like that would bring about great responsibility and be constantly observed by the students of the school. Thus, I insisted greatly that if I had to take a position, it would be Vice-president. Also, Beatrice seemed to be a great competitor and Jetaime was no far behind. Bryan opted himself out of the interview, also his blog posts had pointed against him.

On the day of the interview, I was also called to the Drama Studio for ELDDS meeting. The eldds members voted for the ELDDS EXCO. I had no intentions to be the P and VP of ELDDS either for knowing I would attain a rather high position in council. I was voted 3rd position in ELDDS - Secretary. Being rather joyful, I proceeded down to the EXCO interview which faced Principals and Vice-Principals and HODs. We talked, we gave feedback of the school and we left. Shortly after, it was announced Margaret took position of Publicity and 3 of us went for the school elections.

We presented our Presidential election speech to the school. Results were not announced. The 12 EXCOs were selected by then and we proceeded with Investiture preparation which lasted 3 weeks of the June Holiday. Beatrice and I was also selected to be emcees of the Asian Youth Games Exchange Programme Opening Ceremony. Throughout the investiture preparation, we the excos, got to know more about each other. On the last week of June, in the midst of preparing investiture, we were called up and Ms Ong made the grand announcement. She said, "The new president is... Xavier!" I was stunned and my mouth was agape, seriously. The applause I heard was muffled in my head.

Being the president had changed quite alot of stuff. I put on a stern face and things got rather serious. The EXCO was soon falling apart, as described by Bianca, due to a number of internal conflicts. I could not do much. In fact, I was one of the main cause of it. That year was the H1N1 year thus there was no guests from other schools and meetings were rare and hard.

Through the process, I had thought about the EXCO thing quite a lot and at times, well on a daily basis. Sometimes, I would be on the brink of tears. As we trained the councillors for Investiture, things were not easy too. Investiture came and I frankly did not enjoy much of it, considering the huge grey cloud above me.

Fortunately, I called for a Trash Out Session, as suggested by Shaun, the previous President. It was held in the Council room. I was rather the target of comments and criticism. There were other 1-to-1 pointings and shoutings. Many cried then. So did I. I got to learn the real reason behind them not accepting me, in particular being unable to think on the spot and being flicker-minded. I also reasoned with them and allow them to understand me, how much hurt and tiredness I was going through. The session ended with an big EXCO hug.

Things changed. I force myself to improve by reminding myself to think on the spot and make firm decisions. When I implemented that on my self, I received commendations from Jia Yi, saying that I did remarkable improvements. From the trash out session, things were going up. At Least, my side was resolved. Another trash-out-session was held for another conflict.

Even though i wasn't labelled as the ICs for events, I still coordinated the events and ensured that they turn out successful, fulfilling my role as a President. Things were getting better. My sec 3 of being President was tiring indeed, but I persevered on. Controlling a group of 100+ councillors is not a joke. Fortunately, I had my EXCOs at my side. We were strict on council discipline, everything that we had to step in, we stepped in. We confiscated ties, scold councillors and stuff.

Meanwhile, I also worked on my proposal for vending machines and mobile phone hot spots. Vending machine proposal was sent around late 2009. However, there was no reply to it. I was OIC of the 2009 November Council Camp, managing the council camp and turning it into a success. There was still a little friction between the EXCO though, and we tried to resolve it under the stars on the 1st day of the camp.

2010.
This year. The start of a new year. My picture was published in the 2009 school magazine, many slides, school website and student handbook. Being Sec 4s, we grew more matured and stopped quarrelling over small matters. Ms Ong said its always like that, when the exco come to sec 4, they become more matured. Maybe its cause we met less and had lesser time to bother about these stuff. Anyway, by sec 4, there was no major conflicts in our EXCO. Everything was stable. We had groomed the councillors to be more behaved students.

The year was a less hectic and tiring year. In fact, I had enjoyed what much effort put in at sec 3. Its from the corner of my eyes that I do know some sec 1s hold admiration for me, just like how I had held great respect for the President in my sec 1 and 2 years. But thats beside the point. Things were more smoother and because less time was used to manage the conflicts, I approached the principal and VP2 and VP Admin with regards to the proposal of vending machine and mobile phone hotspots. I had made frequent trips to their offices to discuss with them over the matter. Ultimately, instead of inclusion of vending machine, they decided to open 1 canteen stall until 5pm and improve the queue system of canteen vendors. Thats' a fair compromise, i guess.

Then, I decided to do other stuffs to the school. So I proposed a Valentine's Day selling of roses, which was reverted to Valentine's Day Talent Performance. Proposal was accepted by VP1 and I carried out to make speech for gathering crowd and performers. With only 1 grp of performers on hand, I thought it would be a failure. In the end, many groups came to sign up for the performance. The talent performance was a great success and there was a huge crowd that clapped and sung joyfully to the guitarists. For the lower sec performance, there were some ups and downs.

Apart from that, many events were soon handled gradually to the sec 3s to handle for we also had to study for our Olevel. Playing the role of a mentor was easier although a bit of time was still taken up in guiding them. Its worthwhile after all. We guided them through the 2010 March Induction camp and introduced changes like night activity as camp fire and morning exercise as walk to Kovan for breakfast. I also took part in dialogue sessions, in particular the sec 3 one.

My EXCO had much fun together. We went out quite a number of times for lunch, birthday celebrations and movie. It was rather different from last year indeed. They had also joined me in serving detentions when our DM pointed at me alleging me of 3 detentions for not teaching the councillors which caused the sec 4 classes to come down late (which was apparently not my fault). Then investiture preparation came. With the birth of the new EXCO, we had less active roles which was good in the sense that we have more time to do our hwk and study considering we're sec 4s. Investiture preparation, as I saw the stuff that the new EXCO were doing, the stuffs that happened last year flashback. They too had their fair share of trash out session.

Tomorrow is the Investiture day, and after all these that we have gone through, we will take the walk off stage and leave student council. Although we will come back at times, it will never be the same.

In conclusion, I would like to THANK greatly all my 11 EXCO members for really supporting me through this. Council has really let me learn alot. I would also like to GRATIFY Ms Ong for patiently guiding me through. I would also like to WISH ALL THE BEST to the new 8th EXCO and hope their path will be one of joy and happiness.

This is not a speech, but a text. I remember the quote that I had used for the investiture speech last year, "Leaders are not born, they are made through hard work and determination". Ms Ong said she disagreed. Ironically, it had appeared quite alot in like council vid and stuff this year. I believe in the quote, and I believe that I had proved her perspective of the quote wrong.

Today painted the house.
Bought the buckets of pain,
and had to paste masking tape all over doors and cover the sofas and stuff.
Then remove potraits.
And we painted the ceiling white, the original color.
Was the most difficult and tiring.
Make until my neck pain.
Then painted the side walls purple . . .
Actually its violet.
And the console wall dark purple which turns out rather like pink :x
Its the start of the new year!
Oh yea, and ystd wz asked me to go to the nearby bowling area at downtown east to esther and other of her e1 classmates.
And had a round of bowling.
Was rather awkward for me though, as I expected.
Then they all went to watch movie and I left for home.
Watched some TV movies with my family instead.
Countdown was as usual.
The boats at the shipyards were horning.
And I probably won't be blogging for quite a while after tis.

Gonna have many tests.

Today basically went back to school for ELDDS camp.
So started with Dog-And-Bone
Then had choroids, or sth.
And frozen images.
Yea, then Mrs Dheeraj ordered mac breakfast for us!
And after eating, discussed on the play.
Mostly chitchatting with Jun An and some sec 2s.
Then had pizza for lunch.
And there wasn't SYF or movie screening.
Mixed feelings bout tat.
And the rest of the time, we played Truth Or Dare.
Interesting...
New Year is coming soon~ (random)

Today is Sec One registration.
Did foyer usher duty.
Usual stuff, bring them to the hall.
And the school cut off point decreased to 236.
And there are only 5 express streams this year.
Zhonghua standard seems to be deproving.
Not much comments bout the parents.
Students streamed into class by alphabetical order.
Then redeployed to catch parents and force them to hand in their evaluation form.
Quite tiring.
Overall ok :)
Then went with EXCOs to Cartel!
Jiayi was zhi-pai all the way.
Ate cheeseD chicken baked rice.
The cheese was liquidify so quite disgusting.
Then me and Martin took MRT back to Mac to meet the other project members.
We discussed.
Came to conclusion Zhonghua is deproving standards,
Like Literary fiestal, sec 1 was the best, during evening. Sec 2 norm time. Sec 3 no more and is in audi for the lower secs.
Then Sports Day, sec 1 in Bishan stadium, sec 2 in serangoon stadium, sec 3 in NYJC stadium.
Music and Movement, sec 1 in Victoria Concert hall, sec 2 in School hall, sec 3 dun have.
Yea, so lets see.

Today is Open House
Basically did ushering for Council duty.
Second shift.
Though I would have prefered 1st shift.
Ushered them up and down the school.
This year open house like not as good as last year one.
Feels quite last minutes.
Like the booths, last year were all around the parade square.
Now reduce size.
I rmb last year I was ushering Grace Tan (from YearBook) with her mum of 1e6.
Then saw her at Sec 1 Reg too.
Like so fast Open House agn.
Brought parents around, answer qns and stuff.
Then we all left at 3+pm.

Yesterday was the beginning of council & monitor camp.
So arrived in council room 7am.
Then prepared and stuff.
We started presenting at 8+
However only like 50 councillors and monitors came out of expected 80.
During the camp there were blow wind blow, games and night activity.
So went around and help out in the events, make sure running well and stuff.
Dinner combined with NCC.
Where we could take our ordered buffet stuff and some of the NCC barbequed stuff.
Night Activity, me and Amanda waited at the hall for vry long for the groupings to come.
Took rather long before the first group came.
This time my voice couldn't really go high, unlike march night activity.
Then went to other Night Activity stations.
All were rather ok.
Then after Night Activity we did debrief for facils and Camp Comm.
We Exco slept at the amphitheater.
Did some trash-out talk.
Then sleep, stars were nice.
Weather was rather cool too.
Today morning, with Jetaime and Bryan, lead with the PT.
Then breakfast.
Followed by departmental training which since I am not incharge of a department, a few of us keep the stuff in games stations.
Then had some chanbara programme arranged by Mr Eswaran.
Pretty cool esp last part.
Then was area cleaning and debrief by Ms Ong.
Break camp.
Excos stayed back to do the AAR.
And some of us went Mac eat.
By the time at Mac, I was mostly stoning.
Now eyes red, sneezing and runny nose.
Better get some sleep.

Today was Physics Olevel SPA.
As usual, PHY Spa is more difficult that the other 2 subjects.
And finish in 50mins, chem bio like 30+ mins finish alr.
Not too sure whether get correct.
But same y-intercept as Tek.
Oh and talking bout Tek Hsuen.
During class, Ms Rosy was talking bout Central Nervous System all these.
Bout brain, spinal cord, nerve cells etc.
Then suddenly got lizard climbing on Wei Jie chair.
Then jumped onto Tek Hsuen's table.
And he jumped up.
Ultimately, was caught and thrown out by Andrea.
Lol, then vry related to CNS.
Ms Rosy started relating Tek Hsuen actions on the CNS.
Anyway, today bought new sec 4 books.
Then went with family for Flu Vaccine.
Hahas, wasn't that pain. Short & Sweet (Sweet??)
Not very numb too.

Today was my Bio SPA.
And kindof did wrong agn.
Forgot to use the boiling tube holder to hold the tube when burning the peanut.
Then was like "why so hot ah?"
My hand felt like burning.
Then Ms Rosy was pointing the tube holder rather glaringly.
Oops.
I redo that setup, but not sure if still will deduct mark.
When redo, the flame was rather great.
Then I felt the tube moving.
Then when I see inside the tube, it was boiling.
Check the temperature, its 100.5C.
Wow.
But i got 0.6g peanut tis time.
Quite drastic from my previous few setups.

Was kindof okay.
Except at the start, when recording temperature, forgot place styrofoam in beaker.

Today was agn one of the "go-back-to-school" programme or sth.
Basically during english lesson,
Ms Ling was talking bout the 'My Sister's Keepers" movie thing.
Which she claimed was touching.
So me, sheanyin and simin decided to go watch it.
Samuel, Keith Gui and Yvonne went along too.
Was at plaza singapura.
Shared a large popcorn with Samuel, with our own coke.
Total spending: $13.

Well, didn't hear the whole cinema sniffering, like what ms ling said.
Anyway its like only 1/3 filled.
Though quite a number of them teared,
I wasn't one of them.
Didn't really find it vry touching.
But quite ok.
Maybe, cause i don't really understand.

Today is the "last day" of the school.
Apart from the 2 weeks come-back-to-school programme.
Morning had some leadership briefing in auditorium.
Then was chemistry period.
Afterwards was spring cleaning.
And Mr Lee told us his life story (assuming it is accurate).

Cool.
Then Mr Daniel Chew played violin in 3e4.
Me and yongen were secretly watching.
Right..
After the 30mins break, which was suppose to be dismissed.
We had physics error analysis correction thing.
My mum picked me up and we went to eat lunch with my sis.
Bought stationaries for chem notebook.

Quite exhausting.
Then we had chem briefing and bio SPA.
And the marshmallows are sticky when they melted.
eww.
After recess was peer evaluation of CCA.
Looked through the yearbook.
Jiayi say my face is photoshop-ed.
And 3e2 was featured at the content page!
Pic was quite cool.
The year book was rather creative compared to other years.
I like the volleyball photo too.
Its like some black society.
Most photos were like professionaly taken.

So I got convinced into buying a self-sewn tortoise for $1.
Got 2 free instead, since was clearing and got 3 for $1.Today, morning was chemistry lesson.

After recess, Mrs Raj let us watch 'Life is beautiful'
Which is the show that Mr Wong showed us in sec 1.
Oh, and Joanne drew Mr Sunshine images of everyone in the class.

Today was relatively happier than on Tuesday.
Got to know quite a lot of people fail their subjects.
So its not that bad after all.
And got back my other papers in the auditorium again.
Physics was quite glad that I managed to go above pass.
Then Geog got an A1, but SS got a B so average humanities is still a B.
Bio, as expected, I got an A2.
Me and TekHsuen was playing some drawn games, like tictactoe or sth.
Cause we were bored.
And on tues we drawn (mostly i draw one, fyi i don't take art) some (not very cool) stuff.
It has been blurred and rotated so that your eyes will not burn.
Afterschool, talked to Mr Wong.
Then have one-to-one conferencing with Mr Lee.

Terrible :(
I mean, I have studied for at least 2 months consecutively.

Ok, this post is regarding yesterday.
So its a Sunday.
Whole morning tried to get the computer networks system up.
To no avail.
End up reading some books (the day b4 i read finish New Moon)
And played Monopoly with sis.
Quite nostalgic.
Had to leave early as wanted to borrow or buy book.
Was looking for Necropolis.
Ended up borrowing a different book from the same author.
Anyway, went to taxi bay of White Sands.
And guess who I met?
Le Tuan Anh!
Yea, and he was in this cool hawaiian shirt or sth.
Didnt recognise him at first.
And then I wondered what in the world is he doing at the east side of the island.
He was with his other Vietnamese friends.
And they were heading to Escape themepark.
So formal.. He shook my hand too.
Yea, then bid farewell and they left.
My mum came pick me and we went to our grandma house.
Spent whole time reading THAT book.
Was enjoying the air-corn there too (since my house doesn't have any)

So basically, came back to school.

Then get blazer, make sure procedures run.
And have to usher the principal, guests up and down the stage.
So concert was rather moving.

Hi, returned from Vietnam 5days 4 night trip.
Guess what?
One boy from the tour group is from Zhonghua too.
Darrel Ng from 2E5.
I dun know that guy, but he says he know me.
Lol, what a small world.
Here's a summary of the trip.
Took off with JetStar on Wednesday.
Plane ride was quite nice since it was sunrise so the clouds were like heaven.
And I was listening to some 'relevant' songs on while sipping my coke.
Then touched down at Saigon HoChiMinh City.
So boarded bus and met tour guide.
Tour leader went too.
Then we went to the old Post Office, which was built by French since it was once a French Colonial.
Took some pics.
Then went to the President House which was not occupied since Vietnam is a communist country with no president but lead by military.
Then at the street there are alot of motorcycles (as heard from others too).
Crossing the road is quite funny cause the police will lead the group over the road.
And if you're crossing by urself then they will not stop since there are not much traffic lights.
So cross and extend ur hand with a 'stop signal' to the motorists.
Then there are quite alot of cultivation in Vietnam.
Like alot of wet rice cultivation and rubber plantations.
Oh, then ate lunch and went to our hotel.
We stayed in tat hotel for wed and thurs night
Fri night at one of HaLong Beach Hotel.
Then went to Vietnam War Museum
And a factory by handicapped that produced goods and ornaments made from egg shell and sea shells.
Then at night went for massage and ate vietnam durian.
Next morning went to chinese temple.
Prayed.
Then went to Mekong River. Was rather muddy.
Alighted in an island and ate fruits, took a sampan ride back to the ferry and back to mainland.
See some statue.
Ate lunch.
Watched puppet show at night and ate 'Royalty Food' at evening.
Next morning went to CuChi Tunnel.
Showed us some traps and crawled tunnels to level 2.
Floor soily and dark.
Ate lunch at a resort place.
Went to our hotel at HaLong beach.
Atleast at Halong beach area, it was more clean and the air was not as smelly, not as many motorcycles as in HoChiMinh City.
Trishaw ride and had lunch.
Next day climbed the Jesus Statue mountain.
Long and tiring climb. Can go to his shoulders.
View from top was beautiful.
Most of the day in the beach.
Then had dinner on a cruise ship that sailed small part of South China Sea.
Got performance and Live Band
Then today morning had free time to walk bout.
Went to the park.
Saw Vietnamese Scout and Guides.
Oh yea, during trishaw ride at night saw school practicing taekwondo.
In Vietnam, if can go school or owns a car means the person rich.
Afternoon arrived at airport and went took plane off back to Singapore.

Okay, so today went to school early.
Woke up at 6am.
Then Shaun say he got something on so he not going for council invest meeting.
So met Beatrice at sign-in booth.
Then talked to some teachers before we went to Mac to meet Jetaime.
Discussed on council investiture.
Deadlines and everything.
So around 11pm, Jetaime left for J8 so me n beatrice walked to school and meet Eugenia
Then while the two girls were talking to Ms Tay, I went to find Mr Lim to get chem file.
Meanwhile he told me to drop NYP Research since it may be too taxing.
So I'm considering the options now.
Then met back with the other two and went to find teachers to ask bout 'dry ice'.
Then had lunch and came back home.

Just now had Cross Talk Ushering Duty.
So went to sch at 7pm.
Went through some spotchecks and I was assigned as auditorium usher.
Then my position was around the back of the audi.
So the primary school contestants went into the audi.
The programme began so we had to usher the contestants when they finish their performance to their seats.
Make sure they do not disrupt others and so on.
Legs were tired since must stand for very long.
Then afterwards had a break where we had packet chicken rice.
After eating, went back to duty as there was the second round of Cross Talk.
Again, tried to pay attention to what the pri sch kids were saying.
Most of the chinese they say I don't understand.
Then ended with a debrief.

Here is what happened two days ago:

Okay, ystd came back from CAPS Leadership Camp for Prefects.
Went there with other alumni to help facilitate the camp.
So was 2 days camp and could go back home to sleep during the camp.
So on first day, my grp 8 was The Eight-Tailed Fox.
I helped the group in the cheer.
And flag.
Then had team building games, which I participated (though was like quite weird since their prisch kids).
Alot breaks and meals inbetween.
Also went E!Hub NTUC for shopping of food for "Survival Cooking" which was cooking in mash tins.
Then helped my group in cooking their pasta with mushroom potage.
They also had to prepare a skit for "Showtime", a fake campfire on 2nd night.
Night time had Amazing Hunt.
Where they have to find clues from station to station to complete the hunt.
I was doing basketball court with Eunice, Charmaine and Damian.
Okay lar.
10pm then me and my sis went back home.
Next morning wake up early got ZHSS to take some photos.
Then went home and changed, walked to Pasir Ris Beach where the rest of the campers were.
They were having the beach game.
Helped out with my sis and a few alumni at the sand pitch area.
The campers had to build the highest sandcastle.
Then walked with all of them back to CAPS.
Went home to bathe.
Walked back to CAPS.
Ate lunch with alumni at nearby kopitiam.
Joined the kids in balloon sculpting.
Then was showtime in the hall.
Camp spirit was unfortunately low since all of them were siting.
Then the parents seats were in the middle so hard to form a huge circle.
But they still performed their skits, do some cheers and so on.
Ended around 8pm.

Today I just knew that its coming to cinema in November or around there.
And I re-watched HSM 3 on Youtube.
Then today I got back my phone!
Cause was sent for repair as it burnt out the other time.
I tink its short circuit.
And got a new handphone headphone set as it was spoilt and i claimed warranty against it.
Hmm, I'm going for the Prefect Camp in Casuarina Pri (my ex-sch) as facil.
Thursday and Friday not overnight.
Oh well, didn't manage to go Sec3Leadership Camp too.
Was 2 days and no overnight.
Got dragonboating.

I can't go Outward Bound :(

Friday was a the last day before school holiday.
So took ELDDS picture after recess.
Then also me, Jetaime, Adele, Joice and a random guy took the student handbook photos.
Was very rush cause suddenly say nid the blazer photo
Then have to get key for council room and get blazer, find ppl...
My eyes was red tat day.
Morning alr red.
Then afternoon my breadth felt a little hot.
So drank cold water :)
Then after that get back report book.
My class position very low.
L1R5 was 18.
Was alr afterschool.
Could not stay back for cross talk thing cause got NYP
Then settle some locker stuff.
And went to Yio Chu Kang MRT using circle line.
Much faster, but go back my home still as long.
Then walk long distance.
And when at Nanyang Poly, took my temperature at a secret corner (u don't want ppl tinking ur a mad person sticking a thermomether in ur mouth, though i still was seen by someone)
Realised temperature was 38C
Went home after 30 minutes walk and 1hour MRT.
See doctor afterwards.
Was told could not go OBS.
Had to recover fully.
Saturday spend afternoon watching Korean Drama (Winter Sonata)
Then today i learnt and baked some (awful) cookies and (okay) fried rice.
And playing Restaurant City on facebook.

~Some disappointing news that my handphone is temporarily down~
Okay, so nothing much happen in the earlier part of the day.
Then me, Beatrice and JieLin was dismissed from class at 1.20pm!
Skipped English.
So we ate and went with the 3t1 ushers on a coach to NUS High School of Mathematics and Science.
See, i even remembered the full name.
Mrs Ong, Ms Yeo, Mr Ng and some teachers came along too.
Cause ZHSS was a host school of the ASEP (ASEAN School Exchange Programme).
Then practiced the emceeing script on the way.
Went to NUS Auditorium and had to rehearse our speech there.
Was not nervous but JieLin claimed I was >:(
Then me and Beatrice apparently did not really did a gd job.
But since its our first time...
Then rehearse until 5pm.
Went back on coach.
FOUND OUT MY HANDPHONE WAS VERY HOT.
And when try to on it, did not work.
'In like it was veeeery hot, like the heat emmiting from your computer after using it for 10 hours?
k, maybe not so exagerrating.
So Jielin and Beatrice was laughing away, not helping much.
I blew the aircorn on the phone to cool it down.
Did not help much.
Anyway, i thought it was the batt flat prob but now it still does not work.
So probably will try claim warranty against it.
Reach sch very late and I had tuiton in like 1hour+ ltr.
So rushed to grab the pizza thing from 7-eleven.
And went to the newly open circle line at the MRT station!
Looks kindof empty and... empty.
But was quite cool.
Then took to MaryMount.
And realised it does not go to payalebar as it was still under construction.
Wasted my time, but atleast got to witness the first day of circleline.
Its suppose to cut short my time from Serangoon to PasirRis by like 20 minutes?
And I was in a rush for tuition so kindof angry.
Fortunately, managed to reach the tuiton centre 5 minutes late only.

Okay, another day...
So yesterday was the Sec 1s service learning day.
And there wasn't a haunted house (relief~)
But, personally, it didn't look as exciting and competitive as the previous two badges.
So, spent a bit money on that.
Today, was mostly filings.
Sometimes it get me rather confused.
Oh ya, Mr Lee Moh Choon isn't going to teach our class ;(
Well, Mr Edward Wong is taking over for both Amath and Emath.
Ok, back to today..
Did titration SPA again.
This time atleast I managed to get 2 readings.
Unlike last time when i got none.
But we were suppose to take 4 readings.
Apparently, I got mixed up with the beakers so no reactions.
Then after school suppose to help ELDDS count the leadership competency but MsKaur alr counted.
Did the assessment of Jun An leadership competency.
Then went for the ASEP Emcee thing.
Its about some Asean Student Exchange Programme Opening Ceromony.
Where some parliamentary ministers will come.
Then me and Beatrice is emcees and JieLin is reserve.
Next week have OBS!
Yea, Outward Bound School.
When i was p5 or p4, i went the SparkC Camp which is under OBS.
Was fun, so i hope its fun for tis too.
In Palau Ubin and based on Roy's experience, the mosquitos won't leave us alone.

K, lets talk bout ystd.
So morning was the sports carnival.
Came to school around 6.30
Then met up with council and went tgther to NYJC Stadium.
I was doing main gate duty with some other councillors.
So had to spot check and give late comer forms to those who come late.
Actually not as many ppl late compared to last yr.
Afterwards 8am went for the soccer interclass briefing.
Playing for 3e2 was Andrea, Kenan, Ian, YongXiang and Roy.
Me and 3 other classmates are reserves.
So we were playing against 3n1.
And they won.
Then had to watch other classes play the other matches like semifinals and finals.
Then after all the watches Mr Eshwaran allowed some of us to play with the teachers.
Lol, then MrChong and Mr Christopher Lim was playing too.
Everyone cheering for MrChong.
Whole show was revolving around him.
Then next took some pics with council and we went back to school to picnic for awhile.
Then waited for noon cause got the lunch meal in MAC. \
Ms Ong called me say NYP Project cancelled cause the other two members told the instructor about prize giving.
Yet cant do Prize Giving duty since no full uniform
Went to macdonalds and ate lunch.
Chatted while eating.
Then I went home while the rest went back to sch since i can't do council duty.
Then while going back decided to help out so I went home, bathe, washup, change, played awhile compt.
And took the bus back to sch.
2 hours for travelling time.
Not so sian cause listening to radio and sleeping while on bus.
Then reach sch around 4pm.
Guest Of Honor alr came.
So ran around to help out and for awhile went to watch the ceromony and concert.
Then helped out as VIP-Helper.
Like bring drinks and food for the VIPs.
And they left, so did I.
Today bought tickets for Angel and Demons.
Ltr night then watching.

Cause just now listening compre 1 hour.
Then after tat got 2 more hours to hall decorations.
So, went to school library to try make new blogskin.

So no place and time to save my new and old codes.

HELLO THERE!

Finally online.
Have been keeping away from computer games (and blogging) for 5 months
Since December.
Yea, and sry for it becoming kind of dead.
I didn't want to go online cause i was concentrating on my studies.
Besides, there are so many homework and revision that I hardly have the time to do so.
Although, i did go on msn, facebook, youtube for quite a while.
Now, that the MYExams are finally over...!
Yea, it was over ystd.
So many things have changed over the past 5 months.

-Here's an update on what happened from January to May-

Form Teacher: Mr Eugene Lee
Subjects: English, Chinese, EMath, AMath, SS+Geography, Chemistry, Physics, Biology
Science Academy :)
k, about Science Academy...
So we have to go for a lecture and a tutorial every week for Chemistry and Biology.
Then sometimes we have to learn and get tested on A-level questions.
There are NanYangPoly Projects.
NYP project means every week we have to go to NYP to see our instructors where we will do our project in group of threes.
So my project is not vry interesting - about marketing in the handphone industry.
But the trainer is angmo and he is nice :)
So NYP Project is part of science academy.
In addition, around every month there will be Science Cafe.
Actually its kinda meant more for the Sci Acad students (3e1 and 3e2) where we attend interesting lectures from
professors and scientist like from NUS.
Yea, and internalisation trip,
20 students from Sci Acad will go to UK Cambridge for 10 days!
And I'm one of them :)
Except for H1N1, I'm not too sure if it will be cancelled.

Sci Acad aside,
Got 'Secretary' Position for ELDDS :)
Was kinda surprised that got ppl vote me.
JieLin's president, Adrienne Vice-President, me secretary and Ivan Yong's treasurer.
But eldds will strt nxt two month i think.
Yea, then for council is confidential.

Now talking bout the class.
I'm glad to be in 3e2
Cause got quite a lot of muggers.
So I'm not the only one.
Then the ASEAN scholars are nice and friendly.
For boys, there are 4 from last yr 2e5, 4 from last yr 2e1 and 6 from the scholar gang.
Then Maths is fun!
Cause got Mr Lee Moh Choon.
Vry funny.
But on the other hand, quite difficult to understand.
So have to revise.
Oh yea, a few weeks back we did the bio experiment on disecting a sheep's heart.
Interesting...
Anyway, I joined Science Olympiad.
And I think i'm the worst in the group.
Cause i dunno alot.

Merry Christmas!
So ystday was trying to watch some movie online.
Then almost midnight.
But had to off the compt.
Anyway it was midnight.
Sent some xmas smses.
Received some.
Then went to sleep.
Morning woke up used compt till noon.
Went collect pic and buy log cake for grandma since her b'day.
Went to uncle house.
Got wii there.
Then ate till evening.
Then went some kopitiam eat.
Received a addidas wallet from uncle and aunty as xmas prezzie.
So thats how we celebrated christmas tis year.

Today halfway through the session got some weird song playing.
Like chinese alumni choir.

Yesterday morning found out that my sis was posted to RGS.
They send sms to my mum.
Yea, so I went back to school for eldds and afterwards got briefing and rehearsal for Council Sec 1 registration duty.
Then today went to school early in morning while sis and mum go Raffles and register.
So did foyer usher.
Welcome parents, show them their child class and bring them up to the hall.
Afterwards got talks by principal.
Got new vice-principal -Ms Yeo.
K sounds kinda familar.
And then now have 1 principal, 2 vice.
Ms Tobias got posted to primary school become vice-principal.
PSLE cut-off point to enter ZHSS remains at 238.
Highest 257.
Then after ushering for quite a while, we were re-deployed to class room block to assist in crowd control at the text book area.
And waited awhile, then parents came down.
Mostly rushed to uniform booth so txtbook booth hardly anyone.
Then like 20 mins after, the text book booth became crowded instead.
I saw a mother and daughter that i took them around the school during open house.
And finally! I saw someone from my ex-pri school!
Well, the she's the second Casuarinian to go ZHSS in history.
So basically the parents asked questions and stuff.
And after like 2 hours+ we were dismissed.

Anyway we saw Edmund Cheng and XiangYun with their family at a restaurant when taking lunch in Korea. Like vry funny, our tour group member suddenly shouted "Edmund Cheng". Then all turned and realised. At first I thought was some other random people eating there.

We did not manage to see snow throughout the trip, only on a mountain when we went skiing on the fifth day. Skiing was tiring especially when have to climb up the slope. But fun.

~~~4th to 9th December (Wingo) Korea Tour~~~

Members traveling: Me, Sister, Mother, Father.
Equipments used while writing(typing): Computer, maps, itinerary, camera pictures.

Day 1(0):
Arrived in taxi to Changi Airport around 8pm
Mum went to get plane tickets at the counter.
Then we went into Terminal 1 departure hall.
Took some pictures.
Went around to find restaurants to eat dinner
Ended up eating in Burger King
Then took more pictures while we waited for our flight.
Around 10+pm went to the Korean Airlines waiting area.
Was seated at the window seats.
Unfortunately it was too dark to really see the plane take off.
Can see lots of lights when looking down from the plane.
Then they gave peanuts and orange juice while onboard.
Watched the big screen though straining.
Playing Mummy 3.
Then slept for around 2 hours.

Day 2:
Awaken and ate breakfast in the plane.
Given two choices - scrambled eggs / bbmac (or sth)
So I took the scrambled eggs.
Since it was microwaved so not as nice.
Then the plane landed at Korean Airport Seoul.
When stepped out of the plane into the bridge was very cold.
So went to toilet and change into out winter wear and long-johns.
Then we waited for the tour group to arrive.
Searched for them and saw the tour guide.
So we went out of the airport onto the tour bus.
It was freezing cold.
Wore our scarfs, hat and jacket and mittons but still cold.
Breathe out from mouth got smoke condensing
Even the glass on the bus was condensed with water.
It was really cold.
Then the tour guide introduced himself.
Our first destination was Namsan Park.
Wore all the winter gears before leaving the bus.
Stepped out and it was vry cold again.
Wats worse still need to climb a flight of stairs.
And tis time it was very very cold.
The wind was blowing the coldness and icyness onto our face.
It had not snow yet and it was already so cold.
So we saw some parks
Took some pictures
And left since the tour group members were saying they were very cold.
It was -4 degree Celsius then.
Went back up the bus.
The tour guide spoke in Chinese.
He said most 20 years and above Korean dun speak english cause it was an insult to their country decades back since they hated the American army.
Afterwards, we visited Namsangol Hanok Village.
It was a place where dachangjin was filmed.
Then got a few traditional houses.
Looked quite like a temple.
The floor was sand and the bricks were stones.
Had to use the scarf to cover my mouth and nose since the cold was biting into it.
There were also vases of pasteurized wine and beer.
They also hat a hut built meant to warm the kimchi.
If you look on the floor there are a few ice patches which is water being frozen in the cold and became ice.
Then we went back up the bus.
Then we left for the next highlight - Myeongdong, a shopping mall.
And I started to fell a little unwell and dizzy.
And as usual, I kept stoning cause of the only 2 hours sleep in the plane.
Should not have watched Mummy 3.
Took some pictures.
I don't really favor shopping.
So most of the items there were fakes.
Explored around for 1 and a half hour.
Finally times up and went back on the bus.
Tis time went for lunch.
We went to some shophouse or sth.
And ate Bibimbap.
When entering the smell wafted into out noses.
They also gave a complimentary steamboat.
Inside got mushrooms, vegetable, fish etc.
Then have kimchi as steamed vegetables (pao chai)
The bibimbap was nice
(Tonnes better than the one onboard return flight on day 6)
So after eating, we headed for Kyeongbok Palace.
It was built in 1394.
That was like ages before sir stamford raffles arrived in singapore
And yet the palace still stands.
It was like in the middle of no where near a roadside.
The ground was mostly withered grass.
It was said that this was the coldest place in the itinerary.
And guess what, it was true.
The sun and lighting outside is deceiving.
Seems quite hot but was very cold.
There were alot of cliffs and mountains around the palace.
The tour guide said it was cold cause of spooky supernatural things happening in the palace since it has over 600 years of history.
There were guards dressed in costumes guarding the palace door.

I wondered how they can withstand the coldness.
All stand still like statue (except one who kept fidgeting, blowing smoke and rubbing his hands)
Took some photos with the guards.
We walked into the palace.
The trees were "leafless" like how it should be since it is winter.
The palace was quite grand.
Shaped like a temple.
It was extremely cold up there.
Like you in heaven.
Even the design makes u feel you are high up in the sky above clouds.
Since there wasn't any tall buildings, the wind kept blowing strong winds of coldness at us.
Then we went on and saw more palaces.
Got one in the middle of a moat.
Looks quite like ChungCheng High.
So we left the area and went back on the coach.
Then we went to The Face Shop Cosmetic House.
I realised it was advertised by peiyongjun. (some Korean drama actor)
He looks quite sissy.
Quite boring inside.
We went out to take some pictures.
Nothing much happened there.
We went back on the bus and traveled to Lotte World.
It is quite similar to Genting Indoor Themepark.
We were given 3 (themepark) tickets per person.
The poor Tour guide accidently bought 5 tickets per person.
So he wasted over SD $50 of his own money.
Can't stop feeling sad for him.
There was an ice-skating ring at the ground floor.
On the third few level were the themepark.
There was viking ship, roller coaster, haunted house, monorail etc.
Unfortunately I was stoning most of the time there.
Then we took a "Jungle Journey" ride.
Was a round boat spinning above water in a tunnel.
There was crafting of animals at the sides of the tunnel.
Scared me, I thought it was going to splash down from a high point
Since they said that we will get wet in the process.
Then we took the monorail.
Since it seemed like a better way to see the whole Lotte World in a few minutes.
Then took some pictures of the surroundings.
The monorail also went to the outdoor themepark.
So was quite cold out there.
We did not really get to go to the outdoor park since most of the rides there were too thrilling and scary.
Then we queued up for the viking ship ride.
Looks very scary.
The ship big and swing quite high.
So we took the 2nd seat from the front.
Then since we did want to play any more
So my mum said we go do some shopping.
The shops were in Lotte World itself.
So I bought a scarf since my previous one was too short.
And I kept stoning (like now).
Then for dinner we ate macdonalds. ><>< (Note: Some parts mysteriously disappeared here. We went to sleep. Then nxt day eat breakfast and went to Everland ThemePark. Angry >:( )

Day 3:
The bears were laying untidily at the roadside.
They did tricks such as gongxi-ing, sticking out their tounge, rocking like a baby.
After each performance they were given some food.
If they were not agile enough to "capture" the food in their mouth,
It belonged to the stray birds hopping around them.
Some bears drool saliva while trying to catch.
We alighted the bus and walked with the tour group to an area which houses insects and birds.
The bees and wasps there died, probably due to the cold.
They were frozen.
Then we went to "Space Tour"
Was a 3d film on zootopia characters.
It was about some bear who was chased by wolves for a jew?
There was a newly-opened ice rink nearby.
Unfortunately did not went there since it was payable.
Then we took the 2-seater skytrain up to higher grounds.
We took a break at some foodcentre.
The design quite nice, looks like those 1950s diner.
Ate chicken wing and hot chocolate.
After eating the short break,
We walked to "Hurricane"
It was quite like viking, just that it is rounded and swings left to right, up and down.
My sis and I took the ride.
Afterward was a little dizzy.
We walked up a route and reached "Eagle's fortress".
At first I thought it would turn upside down.
I hate riding those upside-down rides as they usually make me feel vomity.
After asking the assistance, she gestured that it won't go updown.
So we took the ride (regretfully)
It was like a suspended monorail/rollercoaster and "flying" through a small forest
It moved at quite a high speed.
The worse part- the safety seat fastener was at my ear level.
So it pressed painfully onto my ear.
Really pain so i was like squezzing some tears.
It easily came out since it was cold.
When the ride was over, my ear was hot red.
Thankfully I wasn't the only one
And my ears didn't drop out btw.
But it still hurts.
Then we walked further on to Columbus Adventure.
Viking ship that is.
It looked even larger and scarier than the one in Lotte World.
But me and my sis still sat it.
Took the second front seat again.
Then the safety seat thing keep pushing against my tummy.
Even though it can't get any further it still kept pushing.
Then the ride started.
The viking ship swang quite high.
The higher it swung, the more my stomach hurts.
When swinging upwards, its like the ship taking off to space.
After getting down, ended up with ear-pain, stomach-pain and dizziness.
Wanted to find a place and rest but we kept walking on.
Along the way took many photos.
Was stoning due to dizziness again.
Went to Grand Emporium.
Took a look around and left.
Walked, finding a place to eat Lunch.
But I wasn't very hungry since my stomach was pain.
Only wanted to rest somewhere.
Then we saw the tour guide with the photographer buying something to eat.
After much searching, we ended up at Oriental Restaurant.
I ate curry rice.
Wasn't vry nice and I only managed to eat half of it.
We went out of the main gate and looked inside the shops along the sidewalk.
There was Adidas and some super mart.
Since the time was up, we boarded the bus and waited for the tour group before the coach left for Nami Island.
It was a long 2 hours ride to the jetty.
Hear the tour guide speak, read my book, and took a nap.
We reached the jetty area.
There were many marts along the roadside.
The weather at the jetty was also cold.
Then we took a ferry off from the jetty.
The sea was quite calm and the island was quite near.
About 5 minutes ride and for each ride it cost around SD $8
Tat means the owner of Nami Island probably earns alot.
Nami Island is the place where the film the beginning of Winter Sonata.
Watched that korean drama before we went on the trip.
We arrived at the island's seaside at Nami Wharf.
Took some pics at the entrance.
The tour guide told us some information about the island.
The trees as usual had hardly any leaves.
The water at the fountains were frozen solid ice.
Some of the lakes were frozen too which seems like ice skating ring.
Thought the ice looks like it might break anytime.
We walked quite a distance.
There were many shops and poster relating to Winter Sonata.
There is also a place where the leaves were shaped and racked to form a heart shape.
Then we bought some pancakes with red-beans feeling which warmed us in the cold weather.
There was also fireplaces and heater (from boiled water) around to keep us warm.
We reached Metasequoia Lane where both sides are naked pine trees.
Also the film site of winter sonata.
On the floor were some frozen ice.
Took some photos there.
Unfortunately we were given only like 1 hour to roam by ourselves and it was time to go back to the getty.
We had to get there by 6pm or our tour group might miss the ferry which meant delaying the whole group by 30 minutes (to wait for the next ferry).
We went and looked into some of the shops along the sidewalk.
There was one shop selling strawberry tea?
There were many 4 wheeled bicycle or sth.
On the way back was rather spooky.
It was evening and quite dark (since its winter) so the lamp post lights were on.
We were not walking with the tour group.
And there was some spooky child singing a korean song through radios.
But the view was quite nice.
On the way we saw a snowman.
We finally reached Nami Wharf again.
The tour group were gathering around a camp fire pit to warm themselves.
They added some wood to increase the fire.
We waited for 15 mins + before the ferry arrived.
This time it did not anchor at the wood jetty stand but at the seaside.
We boarded the jetty but had to wait around 10 minutes for others to board it.
Then it returned back to main land Korea and took the coach to our next destination.
After a journey, we reached at one of the street eating place.
We alighted the bus, crossed the road and enter the eating place.
It was barbecue hotplate vegetables.
The smell when entered was vry nice.
We fried the cabbage first.
Delicious.
Then the chicken.
And for the chicken can put it in between a raw purple cabage and peppermint leaf
Then they scooped rice in and mixed it with half the dish in the pan.
Become friend rice.
Vry nice especially after the tour guide said Korean rice are much better than those in Singapore.
In fact, my sis said that was the best dish in the whole tour.
The tour group walked to a fruit stall.
It selled strawberries, pear, oranges etc.
I can't stop giggling at the name of the stall which I saw on one of the pear packets.
"Fat mama fruit stall"
Look at the stall owner and true enough.
The stall owner told us the strawberries were premium ones (which turned out to be not)
So my mum bought some strawberries, pears.
Then beside the stall was a seaweed stall. It fried the seaweed with oil and salt.
We went back up the bus and tried the big piece of seaweed.
Was salty.
We travelled on the coach quite a long distance before reaching our hotel.
I slept while in the coach since it was too dark to read anything.
When looking out looks like can see snow on the lamppost since Korea lampost are mostly white.
But has not snowed yet..
We stayed in Sorak Hanwa Resort that night (not too sure if its that hotel)
It was a 3 star hotel.
When we alighted from the bus, it was freezing cold.
The wind was really strong and blew our scarfs and stuffs.
Upon alighting everyone in the tour group started screaming.
After getting our luggage, we hurriedly ran to shelter.
After waiting for a while, the tour guide came back with the keys.
We were given two rooms again.
So 2 person in one room.
Actually not really necessary since the rooms are able to accommodate 4 person.
The Sorak Hanwa room is wooden based.
Is quite like our own house.
There was rice cooker, basin etc.
Then there is a heated floor, one at the living room and another one at a seperate room.
We have to lay there with a matress.
Quite like sleep over / camping using sleeping bags.
We decided to sleep on the floor at the living room cause got tv and the one inside a room like quite spooky.
After bathing, we watched tv for a vry short while
Then went to sleep.

Day 4:
Woke up, did some refreshment and
went out to the balcony to take some pictures.
We gathered with the rest of the tour group near the exit of the resort.
The tour guide helped use check out.
We walked to another block where the restaurant was.
So we ate breakfast there.
There was scrambled eggs again.
We boarded the coach and took a 10 minutes ride to the base of Mt Sorak National Park.
It was quite like a hill. There were many other mountains around Mt Sorak.
Was quite cold when we alighted.
Took some pictures while walking towards Mt Sorak.
There were cable cars leading to the top of the mountain.
Unfortunately due to the short time given we went to the tip of the mountain.
There were many marts and street-sellers along the road.
There was a large Buddha statue on the route.
We took some photos with it.
When you look at the river/drain, can see lots of stones covering it.
It is said that this is caused by soil erosion so the stones are washed downwards to the river.
We walked pass some bridges and took photos.
The walkpath up looks quite like GreatWallOfChina.
We also saw a small house-nest built on the tree for bees to produce honey and sell the honey.
Then got a helicopter keep flying around with some goods or food tie onto it.
Probably going to North Korea.
There were many rocks around.
Then we walked to the entrance of Shinheungsa temple.
Took some photos there.
We were still at ground-level.
The temple was constructed in 652 AD which like more than a millennium ago.
There was someone chanting and using some "kik-cok" instrument.
Atfirst thought it came from a radio but was really some one hitting two wooden plates together.
Didn't go inside though.
We walked back on the return route.
Took photos of the mountain..
It was quite a long walk.
Then we boarded the bus.
The bus brought us back to the area near Sorak Hanhwa Resort, the place we stayed the previous night.
15 mins drive.
We went to Waterpia water themepark and spa.
At the entrance we were given some electronic tag or key.
So we took off our shoes and socks and place them at the lockers and locked them up.
Then we went to the changing rooms.
Male and Female seperated.
So we were given yet another locker, bigger one to store our bags and shirts inside.
Then had to go to a corner to change out to our swimwear.
Quite troublesome since got alot of winterwear and coats.
Then after that went under the tap to wet ourselves.
Had to do that if not not allowed to enter the pool, for hygiene purposes I believe.
Then was quite cold in the air con so quickly ran to the pool.
There was a swimming pool shaped like the beach seaside and have waves. (Its still indoor)
Like the one in sunway-lagoon or the jurong water park.
Waited but not many of the members in the tour group arrived.
I forgotten to take my googles so hurridly return back to the locker to get it.
Then saw the tour guide.
He's body got tattoo one.
The googles was my sis but still used it.
Then ran back to that pool and found out the tour group has proceeded outside.
So I ran after them and we went outdoor.
It was a few storeys above ground.
Then when outside,
was very very cold. Freezing...
Everyone was screaming and like saying "hhurry up waallk"
Felt like jumping into the pool nearby, but might be dangerous so continue to walk awhile
Then we went into the ginseng spa.
Much better and warmer.
Got the ginseng flavoring with 100% hot spring water.
Then we proceeded upwards to Doctor Fish Therapy.
Inside got alot small black fishes.
Still got dirty grass somemore (apparently washed off someone's feet).
The fishes were to nibble off the dead skin.
Pain and ticklish.
Again many of us were screaming and removing our feets off the hotspring.
It was not as bad if a few of them bite.
But it was terrible when you look at the water and see a huge swarm of fishes biting on your thigh and feeling it.
Had to close my eyes and bear the pain.

(Note: I decide I'm too sian to blog about the other days and some parts of my post went missing after writing for like more than 10 hours... So I decided to take the other parts from my sis, Denise's blog. So the following are not written by me.)

O.O We (My brother, me and Kaevinn) went to try many types of jacuzzis, which had rain spa, garden spa, strawberry spa, wood spa and others which i can't remember now. We wanted to play the slide but what we didn't know is that it had time slots and by the time we reached there, it was closed. DAMN IT. We missed by a few pathethic minutes. (!!!) So we after that, when time was up and our parents have not come yet to the assigned meeting point, we waited for them. Waited until the max time, we decided to check if they were bathing in the toilet. Sure, they were there. -.- and my mum they all were already drying their hair! Shit. In a rush, i bathed in my swimsuit with conditioner and all, dried myself and since there were no time for changing rooms, i asked my mum to help me cover with my towel while i wore my undergartmen and stuff. Those aunties were like "Aiyo, so shy for what, no need to cover lar." -.- Of course need to cover lar. Anyway, after that we went for lunch and had steamboat filled with digusting stuff such as squids, mushrooms, octopus, clams and other stuff which i don't know how to eat. LOL, then, out of the corner of my eye, i spotted someone who looked like Edmund Chen. Oh yes, it was him. I told my mum and she told another aunty (Doreen) and she told Kaevinn mother. She i think big fan ar, so evidently use her camera, zoom when he eating. LOL, he saw already, smile for her. She very happy lor, grinning all the way. When they about to finish and XiangYun came out of the toilet, she started the ball rolling by requesting to take photo with her and Edmund. Lol, we all followed suit. Yay. Never meet in singapore but meet in korea. >< style="color: rgb(255, 102, 102);">(Day 5)
My skin had started becoming dry and was peeling. But i was super elated when we saw snow covering the streets and falling into our hands. We went to the ginseng plant and shopping streets and kimchi school. My kimchi was super kns. It looked like some rooten cabbage. LOL. Anyway, that day was super boring. *yawns* Oh, and the hotel doors gave me loads of static shocks. -.-

(Day 6)
Go home day. But the rest of the tour group was quite happy cuz' the tourguide said our "Anihasaro" was the loudest of all. LOL. So we went to the nui ren jie to do some shopping. Bought an adidas trackpants. Yay! (: After that, we went to the airport to catch a plane home. Since korea time is 1 hour earlier, it was super rushy after we checked in. Thats about it.

Okay, done. Btw I caught a fever around midnight at Day 5. Suddenly went vry cold. Then next day wasn't feeling well. Will probably be posting some pictures and a simplified summary soon.

Today went took MRT to bugis junction
Then walked to the National Library.
Went to level 5 cause was invited by some talk by James Lee, cause three of my storylines were published in his books.
Was about writing and publishing ur book.
It was quite like a seminar.
About 30ppl came.
From p3 to like 17yearolds.
Actually quite useful, say how to send to publisher and editor.
And is quite kind la, in like he encourages us to send our submissions so as to become a published author instead of sending to his books.

Oh yea, wasn't allowed to go chalet. Aw..

Today was open house!
So came to school around 9am.
Help out in Eldds booth until 9.30
Then 9.30 went outside general office, met some councillors there and packed some brochures for the parents.
Then ushered the parents around the school.
Show them the facilities, achievments etc.
Vry tiring. One family take around half an hour.
Then afterwards got shortage of councillors.
So just gave brochures to the parents and nvr take them round the school.
12.30 went to take lunch in canteen.
Rushed back to Drama Studio cause go Music and Movement preparations.
Then went to hall to perform.
Thankfully not much screw-ups and it went okay...
Surprised by the amount of ppl in the hall.
Half of the seats empty.
Was expecting more.
I think last year MNM much better.
Victoria Concert Hall and still rmb got like 5 hours of rehearsal in the hall.
And got alot ppl and many cca performing.
Still got fireworks...
Oh well, then went back to studio and change into full uniform.
Help out less than ten minutes in English booth.
So dead >< Suppose to be in-charge there....
Then since not much parents and quite boring so went back to council ushering.
Ushered last few families.
And 5pm, open house closed?
Went back and feet aching.

Tday went back to pri school
Cause sis getting back her psle results.
Saw a few ex-classmates.
Anyway the school broke its record.
Casuarina's highest score is 276.
One year back was 268
Then my badge (pioneer badge) was 270.
Oh and top 3 Malays came from Casuarina.
Then my sis got 265.
I'm quite afraid of music and movement.
Hope I won't screw up on tat day...

Hi, back from camp yesterday.
So will blog bout pass 2 days.

Council camp day 1:
Came to school and brought some eggs. Then me, beatrice, xinhui met in canteen to break holes in the egg and remove the content for some games in the camp. Then afterwards we were quite late for music and movement rehearsal. So went through the rehearsal. Okay. At 12.30 met in council room and went opposite to eat with jia yi they all. Then walked back to council room and went up to seminar room. Opened camp. Council pledge. Ms Ong briefed us on some values. Then we got into groups (camp committee just randomly join). Discussed on after-activity review and the groups presented.

Then me and beatrice went down and got the walkie-talkie. Yay. Quite fun to play with. Always got some jokers barking or singing into the walkietalkie. :) Went to see them play the feet-grabbing-marble game. Lol, have to use the feet to grab certain marble shapes. Got play before during camp com. meeting. Then ran back to council room and prepare for the egg ornament activity. Beatrice still carrying some food. Then we went to brief them on how to paint the eggs. It was suppose to be a gift to the sec 4 councillors. Then they painted the eggs but end up not vry nice so call Shaun come down. He asked some of them to redo. Then after redo we discussed on what else to give the sec 4s. So decided to fill a small paper box with shredded papers and put the egg with leaf ontop. went to canteen to have buffet dinner.

But before having dinner me and another 2 peeps had to go out to buy materials like vanguard sheet. Then we left school but the security guard told us the gates would be closed. So we still went out to serangoon central to buy. By then was already around 7.30pm. We bought the vanguards and headed back. By then the school gates were alr locked. So climbed over the gate. (Was quite scary) Went back and ate dinner when everyone eaten. The have night-activity!

Jacob split us into groups. At first everyone mixed up so he went to regroup into four person per group. And I'm the only boy out of the four ><>alls. Managed to find only a silver one. (Btw I found one today in the speaker). But they gave us a light-stick anyway. I screamed once cause some station master screamed. Then had some other stations. Got some venues in 2e1 classroom, girls toilet etc. Then have one at 5th floor. Thought really going rooftop. End up only at the staircase. Then caitlin was blindfolded. Vry funny. Was molesting a sec4 councillor who lied under a cloth and we were suppose to find a ball. Shaun keep jumping on us wherever we go. KengYing was also blinded. Yay, i nvr get blind-fold cause i keep escaping :) Actually not as scary as march camp. But still fun. Then we went to bathe. I was the first one in camp committee to bathe. Well, odd? Then did some reflections. The campers went back to their bunks to sleep. I, jiayi, and some other com members were cutting papers into strips into box. Was vry tired but no choice. Anyway if sleep also must sleep in the open where everyone can see you. So cut cut. Had to stay awake so drank milo and stuffs. We cut and draw for quite a while. Then Shaun dun allow us go opposite buy sweets. Anway got see ex-councillors like lynn etc and present exco like keziah and phyllis. Then stayed until 4am. Brought our sleeping bags to the basketball court and slept there. Then since we wanted McDonalds so recorded the orders. End up got like 20 orders. But since not enough money to pay first (nid round $150) so cancelled and I went to sleep for 2 hours.

Council camp day 2:
Next day woke up. Vry tired. A few committee members still in council room nvr sleep. It was uber cold. Like going to rain. Just 2 hours and like everything changed. Then met in parade square. Went for morning jog. Then ate breakfast. Just sandwich and milo. Then we went back into the seminar room. Have some leadership presentation. Afterwards I participated in the games. Went to group 1. Then had to complete afew stations. First was the one in the canteen. Hook up polo sweets with a stick in the mouth. Okay. Completed all 7 sweets (with some cheats hehe). Then got some need to be blindfold. Quite fun but dizzy. I was stoning most of the time cause super sleepy. Its like everything is unreal. Then got one station put hand in gloves filled with eggs (yay, tats the egg content we extracted out). Nxt day became rotten and smelly. Btw Melody is quite a gd leader. Can be president nxt 2 years. Then after completed the games went back to canteen and had area cleaning. I just arranged the benches in the canteen. Then Ms Ong talked to us and break camp. By then I was really stoning. Then did some reflections and feedback. I didnt noe Aics no need to do, but i still did. But took me like half an hour to do. Dreaming while doing the reflections. So afterwards left for home.

Slept for extra 3 hours. Really tired... Halfway got eat dinner but stoning again. Nxt day got music and movement rehearsal again (t'day) So went back to school today and okay... Then went to buy books somewhere in payalebar. Went home afterwards. Kinda miss the camp :D

Yup, yesterday was my ex-school Casuarina, end of year concert
Never go since not many of my ex-classmates went.
Today went back to school early morning.
Got camp committee meeting.

And we proceeded testing out and doing the games.
Then chatted for awhile.

Oh well, went to school earlier tis morning.
9am got Science Academy briefing.
They getting 24 students nxt year to fly to Cambridge Uni.

After that rushed to drama studio, got eldds.

Came back from Genting.
Here are some interesting incidents:
Firstly the taxi driver.
When in Kl, we wanted to take a taxi up to the highlands
Then got some rather old but not very uncle.
So we decided to get off, since there was a jam and more sensible to take the mrt to KL Central and then take another taxi up.
And just give him RM10
But he kept insisting that there was no jam
And when we asked him to bring us to the MRT station, he drove us from place to place, wasting our time.
He didn't even allow us to get off.
Fortunately we got another driver who drove us quickly up there (also rather dangerously).
And another was the train incident.
So third day up in Genting.
My sis and I in theme park
Then since the queue was super long so decided to take the shortest queue - mini train.
The long one near the lobby.
Oh well, so took some pictures.
Then towards the end suddenly stop and everyone had to get off.
The train derailed.
Its wheel came off the tracks and we walked on the tracks back to the base.
Fortunately not some roller coaster that derailed ><
Another incident was the taxi driver back.
When getting a taxi to drive us back to Kl.
Then half way down the slope driveway.
He asked us to wait.
Thought what happened. Scammer?
End up went to pee near the roadside.
And then another thing weird is that his speedometer
The one to check whats the speed of the car, status of petrol etc.
Was not moving at all or had any changes, even when the taxi was moving.
Its like it was a sticker or sth.
Anyway Sat left and today (Tues) returened.
Three days outdoor themepark ticket,
And each day 3 hours of lan.
Yea, and watched HSM 3.

Today, another learning carnival day.
Morning said announcements as usual, this time got alot.
But feel more at ease, much contrast to four months ago when first came in.
Then the rest of the day mostly in auditorium.
Aesthetic showcase.
Some quite nice.
Then watch some Chinese movie.
Ending was not very good.
Kinda expected it was all a dream and true enough, we wasted 1hourplus watching someone's dream.
Then had break.
Went to canteen, saw sec 1e1 and 1e5 doing their pet rocket.
Then went back up.
had a talk by an author.
Don't really know him.
And afterwards took everything from the locker and placed in a bag.
My bag and the cloth bag with my books weighed a total of 18kg.
Very heavy and somemore was raining, have to shelter with umbrella.

Today is learning carnival
Gt fundraising.
Morning came to school with all the props.
Cost $40 for the tikam tikam preparations.
Anyway some e4 students help me bring up.
Then quickly wrote a speech to advertise our fund raising if not no one come.
Ask Ms Tan, she say okay.
So go hall and delivered speech.
Then gt some dance.
But we were told to gather.
Those involved in the Leadership CCA workshop.
Sianz, then can't do the selling. :(
Quickly briefed Kenan on wat to do.
Afterwards class came up and brought thing down to the canteen.
Prepared our stalls.
Then half an hour later had to go up for the workshop.
Dunno how they were doing.
Fortunately 10 mins later dismissed for break again.
Rushed down to canteen to see if its okay.
Sold quite a bit.
Then rushed up again.
And rushed down for recess break.
Didn't eat, just helped out.
Then rushed up again.
Leadership workshop basically tell about team work and stuff.
Then got some games like throwing of paper plane?
Actually quite interesting.
Then twelve noon ran back to class again and counted how much we earnt.
If I am not wrong the Tikam Tikam booth earnt a profit of around $10
Quite small but at least we didn't lose money.
Ate lunch for 5minutes, ran back to seminar room.

So I did the argumentative essay on selfish teenagers, situational writing, gong han, and du shu bao gao.
Both my El and Cl compo abit same alike.

Last year's EOY also both same.
About cheating.
Today raining cats and dogs.
Lotz of thunder.

Today is Mid Autumn festival celebration!

Afternoon went to Tampines Mall to receive prize from James Lee for getting 3 of my stories published when I was in pri 6.

He told be the fourth book I written for MrMystery was too gruesome to be published to kids.

So received two certificates and a 25dollars popular book voucher.

Wearing school uniform cause thought on the way go to school.

End up went home and took bus out again since ended too early.

Took 81 to school. Arrived at 3.5o

had lunch-dinner

Then 4pm cross over road to school.

Met at council room.

Got briefed for our duty,

Foyer Usher

Quite fun. Stood in row and must usher the parents to the hall.

Lol, then one of the parents I ushered was my mum.

Quite tiring, must stand straight and hands behind back.

haha then got one parent put her arm on Melody's shoulder.

I thought was her own parent.

Then stood at the foyer for like 1hour30min.

Wait till all the parents go up.

End up could not watch the concert.

Had short water break and went to parade square to help out in the booth area.

Suppose to light the candle and held stick on their lanterns.

The flame was rather hot and I kept getting my hand burn.

Sometimes the wax could not really stick.

Some lanterns caught fire as usual.

The first "customer" was a physics teacher's son.

Took me like two minutes but in the end still could not stick the candle.

In the end he did it himself.

But after awhile got the hang of it.

1 hour concert and the other playing with the lanterns.

Duty was quite fun too.

I remember last year when I was swinging the lantern.

this year could not play.

When all dismissed we clean the parade square and tables which had wax stains on it.

Went back get my bag and was dismissed.

And so good.

Next year sec 1 doing sec 3 syllabus science.

Then we Sec 3 same standard as Sec 1.

Today is thursday.
Morning physics lesson.
Kinda different.
Saturday Mid Autumn Festival.
Down for council duty.
But clash abit with some prize-giving in the afternoon.
Might be late.
Few days back I dreamt I was late for the celebration.
One year pass so fast, still rmb last year's one.
Today's English lesson went to Home Econs to do worksheet
Like so weird.

School reopen.
Morning council duty.
Assembly was rather screwed today.
Floor wet but assembly held in parade square still
So end up everyone standing up.
Wasn't too sure if need to say announcments.
End up had to dismiss everyone back to class as there was no flag.
The UG ppl was not there yet or sth.
End up like 1 minute later got off the podium.
So normal lessons
After school had detention duty.
Quite like detention duty,
So some trouble-makers as usual.

Today went back to school.
For council corsages
Was tiring making them.
So gathered at canteen like 9.30
Only like gt 6 councillors, the rest pangseh.
Then went IT special rm.
And do with 2e3.
Hope e5 get the Milo project.
Got like 5 or 6 classes wanting to do it.
Keep doing wrongly so have to redo.
Then plucking out staples was painful.
But "its for a good cause"
And besides council xD
So don't really mind.
Then afterwards, went back home.
Studied English (wow, took like 6 hours revising ONE comprehension)
And holiday is coming to an end, tmr shall do Science revision.

Nothing much during holidays.
Just study, play, sleep.

Yesterday was teachers' Day.
Oh yah, and the day before I screwed the pledge.
Anyway yesterday morning started with Aces day.
Ran around the school, sth like relay.
Ran once only.
Rmb last year Kenny running with me then he fell and pass the bag to me.
This year ran with Tiff Poh, suppose to be one fast and one slow.
But both like average speed.
Then ran with the bag.
Super tiring and was sprinting the whole way.
Made it in the end.
now my leg pain.
Then afterwards, made teachers' day card.
But I left at 10 cause they were like calling all councillors to the hall.
Slacking in hall for half an hour.
Watched some rehearsals
Then went to made some announcments in General Office.
Came up watch the short performances.
Most of the time standing outside the door since no space to seat.
All the UG groups took our place.
Halfway councillors passed the gifts to the teachers.
Then after concert got back progress report.
yay, L1R5 of 9 points.
Hope EOY also like that.
Then gave gift to Miss Ling, Ms Teo, Mr Ong and Ms Lea.
Actually intended to give to Miss Ling and Ms Teo only.
That means left only one gift for my ex-teachers.
Alot of ex-Zhonghuarian like dye their hair.
Even Alan.
Reached CAPS, Casuarina Primary, after one and a half hour.
Saw alot of students visiting.
Now got 2 badges.
Atfirst only got 3 classes visit cause we pioneer badge.
Then met alot of ex-schoolmates.
Some bian huai.
Went around visiting our teachers.

Today Science lesson went Bio Lab do the Chemistry experiment.
Hydrochloric acid and magnesium strip.
Then place the lighted splint in the test tube.
However ours' did not work, as there was no pop sound.
Then burned the magnesium strip above the bunsen burner.
Very bright.
Home Econ lesson stayed in class doing some flyer.
The other half of the class went too cook.
And lol, Cheng Jun wanted to make noodles so roll dough.
By end of test, probably still halfway rolling.
Even kopitiam mian also use those packet and process one or at least will use the squeezing machine.
Some of their food were quite nice.
Then after school went Christian Home again.
Atleast going with Ms Ling, and as JinX has said it was a longer ride.
Then entertain them again.
Went back to school and went home.

Ok, today was the Home Econs test
Was cooking Philippines Spaghetti for the test.
Yea, and was 2 servings.
I quite like it, Ong's one was nicer. His mushroom soup.
So was boiling the spaghetti noodles in hot water
Then cook the sauce basically out of Tomato Ketchup, hotdogs, minced chicken
Alot of simmering.
Was quite hard to handle since these two going on at one time.
But finally did it, only that sauce was quite dry according to Mrs Chew.
Got a 76% grade.

This week had two tests- Geography and Chinese
Both on same day.
Cause Tuesday and Wednesday gt National Crime Prevention (Eldds)
Which we got 5th out of 70.
Then until night time so can't study
My Chinese's dead.
The first section only know 4 words.
At least Geog wasn't too diff.
Esp that got some hints from other ppl.
Nxt week is Science
And my chem is like still blur blur.
Don't know what Balancing Equation thingy.
Today after Chinese test took Geography test in the a class together with the other Eldds members.
Mostly was map reading skills.
Then Ms Ow mark those top few in class papers.
Those who very gd in Lit.
Then mark until like just pass.
Isn't that discouraging them from taking Lit nxt year?
Today recess gt some piano talent show.
Went to watch. Some really good.
Last weekend watched Rec Cliff on internet.

Today is National Day

Oh yea, yesterday's Beijing Opening Ceromony is wonderful.

Like how in the world they gt so many performers.

Then today stayed home watch National Day Telecast.

Much diff. from yesterday's Olympic one.

But was rather ok.

Almost all the years also like the same.

Today is the eve of National Day
And 08.08.08
And Beijing Olympics 2008

So morning realised I lost my tie. ;(
But fortunately Ms Ong kindly gave/lend me another one.
Then gt marching contingent during assembly.
Was quite cool. Like in national stadium when the president come and observe the marching.
Recollections, national rally etc.
But Mr Thana was like saying the marching was terrible
And the worse he had seen.
Cause hands not in order and stuffs.
Then said he was like 20+ years in combat and training soldier or sth.
Then CCA awards for upper sec and interclass for lower sec.
Our's Frisbee.
Yay, and our class got 2nd position.
We beat 2e6 and 2e3.
But e4 like too strong.
Quite hard defending as can't touch the Frisbee or posession change.
China peeps from Shenyang also played.
Then end school at 10:30.
So walked to Bus interchange.
Was exhausted when reached, esp after playing the Frisbee.
Then realised forgotten to bring back newspaper cutting book to do.
And hand in the 2 'very important' consent forms for Eldds
So walk all the way back to school and hand in and walk to Interchange again
Wasted like 30 minutes.
btw, there is no school on Monday right?

Today is the Lit test.

And made quite a mistake for writing bout how Macbeth was more evil than Lady Macbeth.

Art was doing ceramics workshop.

Was kinda cool.

So tmr is Nation Day Celebration Eve.

Suppose to wear council tee or sth.

Yeah, and the other two test is nxt week.

So no need to rush through the subjects.

Anyway gt some shocking news yesterday when

Mr Wong told me during morning duty.

Really sad. But atleast I'm nt the only one.

Actually its not so bad after all.

Today we went to Sungei Buloh nature reserve.
When got the boots, smelt terrible
And went on bus
Then went to collect water samples.
Then went to mangrove planting.
Soil very soft, ong bear sunk into it.
then tide rise very fast.
And my shirt got stained with mud.
And ofcourse the gloves and boots.
Fortunately no mosqito bites.
Since Tiff Chan lend me the insect repellent. ty.
Went to change back to norm school shoes.
And left, after washing the boots.
Dunno why when take the boots doesn't seem like it has been washed before.
Anyway headed back, very tired.
Ate Mars for energy but didn't seem to help.
Then gt EL common test.
Summary and vocab.
Tmr is math test.
Oh yea, and National day and Olympics coming.
One day difference.

Today early morning went back to school.
Very tired, gt the pre-trip briefing for Sungei Buloh.
Went bio lab, and gt some workshop.
3hours, but did learnt some stuffs.
Anyway finally master the art of being able to quote some parts of Macbeth, though mostly wrong.
Actually I want go 3e1
Cause gt best teachers, and u see the last year's or year before O-level performance
Mostly, or almost half the top few scholars are from 3e1
None from 3e4.
But want take Lit too. :(
